24 hour Retreat at PCD Dallas
We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to join us for this very special and powerful practice that will be conducted by Khenpo Tenzin Norgay and our new PCD Dallas resident Lama: Lama Jigmey.
For those attending, please report to the temple Saturday, April 11th between 10 and 11 am. At 11:30 am, we begin with Riwo Sangcho (The Mountain Smoke Offering Ritual) and then the Bodhisattva Vow. We will then receive specific instructions by Khenpo Norgay, who will guide us throughout the day. Following our practice and teachings, we will recite mantras repeatedly, throughout the 24 hour period. A more comprehensive schedule will be provided upon arrival.
On Sunday at 11:00 am, Khenpo Norgay will provide us with another teaching. Following this teaching, we will have a Tsok offering, so please to bring items to offer. We will also have an appreciation offering for Khenpo Norgay and Lama Jigmey. The cost for the two day event is $25.00 per day, which will include lunch, dinner and drinks. If you cannot be there both days, you are welcome to attend the teaching on Sunday.
Since we will be sleeping on the premises, please consider bringing comfort items such as a sleeping bag, cots, pillows or bedding. Comfortable clothing is suggested and you are welcome to bring drinks, snacks and food, should you have specific dietary or medical requirements. If you have your own cushion, you may bring it with you as well. Temple etiquette is requested, so please be mindful of your actions. Turn off your cell phones and refrain from speaking while in the shrine room.
If you cannot attend, please consider showing your support by sponsoring a prayer retreat member for their efforts. Sponsorship may be offered by individuals, families, or groups. This is a traditional way to dedicate positive energy on behalf of people or situations. Also, if you wish to accumulate merit, this would be a good opportunity for everyone stop by and join us to recite mantras.
