5/17/2015-The second day in Ramechhap, our mission was to reach to Gumdel. There were no concrete paved roads, only the dirt roads. And the dirt roads were wet due to the rain. Despite of an unreliable transportation, we hired a Tractor and loaded 350 Tarps, 350 blankets, and 350 Mattresses as part of the relief supplies. Due to limited seats in the Tractor, only me and the Tractor driver moved on. As we reach closer to Gumdel, the wet road steepened causing the tractor to lose its traction which led an accident. The Tractor sustained few damages and I suffered a minor injury. We were hoping that we would be able to make it to Gumdel, but even with countless effort, driver, me and the Tractor was mired down in a boggy road for the whole day. The night was spent in the midst of the forest. It was only the next day; we were finally able to get the Tractor out of the mess. The Tractor broke in the worst condition. We were so close to reaching Gumdel, but we were not able to reach to our destination. Thus, we handed supplies to the local organization of Gumdel and authorized them to distribute the relief supplied on behalf of PCD Dallas. And, we headed toward Bamti Bhandar, our base station. I received treatment in the local Health Post on my wound.
