5/21/2015-We met Hattibahadur on our sixth day stay at Ramechhap. Before we left, we were quickly skimming through the village if anybody is deprived of basic privation. And, there was Hattibahadur.
Hattibahadur lost his son three months ago. After some weeks, Daughter-in law eloped leaving behind 2 little children’s: a son and a daughter. One month ago, his wife, Shantimaya, was struck by lightning which left her one feet paralyzed. He is now having to take care of his wife and two grand kids.
Having to loose a house in the quake and a breadwinner son, life is not so easy for Hattibahadur. He is an epitome of several thousands Nepalese villagers at the moment.
As a gesture of help, we gave them NRs. 2,000 and a sac of 30 kg rice.
